Grundy, Blake John (September 21, 1931 – November 15, 2016) – Passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by his loving family. Blake is survived by his wife Bonnie Brown, sons Bruce (Nancy), Rick (Margaret), and by his daughter in law Heather. Blake was predeceased by his wife Sheila Joan, and by his son Rod. Proud Poppa of grandchildren Kristen (Scott), Rebecca (Alex), Erin, Jill (Matthew), and Scott (Dianne). Loving great Poppa to Brianna, Abigail, Mason and Michael. Blake lead a successful career firstly in the tire industry, automotive industry and finally in technology development and in international licensing agreements. This later led to a life of international travel to many different countries of the world with his wife Bonnie. Blake was very honoured to be named Rotarian of the Year 2008. The family would like to thank the professional health care workers of Lakeridge Health Oshawa C7 Cardiac Care Floor and Lakeridge Health Whitby 3rd Floor Rehab for their exceptional compassion and care of Blake during his hospital stay. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. A funeral service will take place in the Chapel on Sunday November 20, 2016 at 2 pm. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service.
